NAMES CHIEF NURSING OFFICER

 

Ocala, FL – Sharon Goodison, RN has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer for West Marion Community Hospital. Goodison has over 15 years of nursing leadership experience. She started in her new role on April 7th

 

Goodison will be in charge of day to day operations of the nursing staff, as well as develop, implement and interpret nursing and patient care policies, and maintenance of quality nursing care.   

 

Ms. Goodison comes to West Marion from Brownsville, Texas where she held several positions including Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Interim Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Maternal/Neonatal Services for Valley Regional Medical Center. Prior to that, Ms. Goodison worked as Interim Director of Maternal/Child Services at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico and held a number of different leadership positions at various facilities in Western New York including the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, Kaleida Health System, and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Ms. Goodison is a graduate of the HCA Chief Nursing Officer Development Program and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Medaille College and a Master’s degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

 

West Marion Community Hospital is a 70-bed hospital located in West Marion County. West Marion Community Hospital offers a full-service emergency department, as well as Ocala’s only inpatient Joint Care Center. Medical services include traditional surgery, radiological services and a variety of outpatient services.
